6h30 in the morning.
Asaf and Emi jumped in a bus to the south of Hebron for different actions together with Taayush and others volunteers.
Taayush is based in Jerusalem : "Israelis & Palestinians striving together to end the Israeli occupation and to achieve full civil equality through daily non-violent direct-action"
If you wanna know more got to http://www.taayush.org/
The trip to go there reveiled a beautiful paysage.
We first step in a village in the mountain called Um el Khir where a settlement called Carmel had build its fences in front of the doors of this Palestinian village there. Nowadays, people are afraid to shepherd their sheep because of daily settlers "interactions" to push them back. We escorted the flock in the mountains.
After this, we went in some mountains facing Sosya, in order to help other sheep flock to reach a water point on Israeli army control. Here was basically waiting together with soldiers and sleeping under the sun.
We finally ended in a location where the Israeli army destroy Palestinian tents and condemned their water points. Family there are really depend on those water points.
What happened is that they stock water inside huge water tank that they out inside a huge hole down the ground. The army put some stones and earth inside for those family to move out of the area.
We worked on one hole that had been filled up 2 times already.
So we spend 2 hours digging again.
What a sad and stupid game.
This all trip keep on informed me on what happened on this complex land.
This choreographic project is close to a documentary work aiming to trickle into the complex political and social situation of Jerusalem's daily reality. Challenging the division existing between east and west Jerusalem while living and working in the city, observing and being exposed to the delicate situation of shifting realities.

Sheih Jarrah Demonstration - Friday the 22th april 2011 - Jerusalem
This weekly demonstration protest about how Israeli government chase Palestinian population out of their house pleading that it's not legal any more to build new house there. And after that they bring some religious Jews as to say settlers to live in those houses.
It's a weekly no violent peaceful demonstration where different kind of people come.
Lots of people maybe because its a soft demonstration where police decided not to come any more.
Talking to an activist in the demo, she told me that the demonstration of Sheih Jarrah is a good one for beginner!
This time we went in the garden of a house that had been cut in to 2 parts :
One side is a Palestinian people living there and this other side is settlers living there.
The crowd went in this garden and was 2 Jewish religious in a coach outside.
They started to be surrounded by people but they did not moved !

Handcuff action in Silwan - Friday the of april 2011- Jerusalem
We decided to Join the Handcuff action in Silwan in the city of David.
This place is a very touristic site in east Jerusalem. The site is build in the middle of Silwan which is a Palestinian neighbourhood where Israeli government ha already destroyed Palestinian houses and gave one week ago others leaving orders to 5 Palestinians families. There's weekly demonstration there. But in those days of holidays such actions are more powerful.
The idea is to act in couple.
One is handcuffs and the other is supposed to behave as the oppressor.
In the middle of this place this action was really meaningful.
As soon as they started to enter this public space, some people started to shouted very loudly at them :
" You are punk and anarchist !"
"Imagine that Gilad shalid is in this position since 4 years!"
" Who do you think you are ?!"
"You hate Israel!"
This performance really moved me.
One of the basic prinsiple was that in any case you're not responding to people.
And this remains it even more powerfull !
We decided to join our creature to them at some points.
They were some very edgy moment in terms of tense interactions.
As if people were about to beat them...
I had rarely being witness of so much hate.

Memorial ceremony for the Dir- Yassin Massacre from 1948 - 10th of april 2011
We went to tour in the neighbourhood Givat Shaol in Jerusalem which a part of it used to be an Arab village called Dir Yassin.
Omer was our tour guide for this Mermorial ceremony . He is working in the organisation called Zohrot which means We remember. While marching we had been told the history of this village and its one day massacre.
It was interesting to understand how memories can be deleted from their landscape. Thanks to Omer's tour we had the chance to notice and acknowledge the remains of the village. We saw three houses that left from that tragic history. They are now occupied by office or private families. We learned that one of those used to be the girls schools of Dir- Yassin.
We went to what once was the center of the village, which since 1951 became a mental hospital where the first patients were holocaust survivors.
It's not allowed to enter this area.

Imbar - ICAHD Jerusalem Tour - The 8th of January 2011
Imbar offered us to join her on a tour of East Jerusalem she was giving trough The Israeli Comity Against House Demolition.
We decided to tour with the Creature.
This tour was a first introduction to Jerusalem city. I discovered the differences that exist in between residents from Jews on west Jerusalem and Arabs on east Jerusalem concerning the citizen ship rights and laws. Demolishing Palestinian houses to raised terror is one way for Israeli state to recover pieces of land and push Arabs population little by little out of Jerusalem.

Demonstration in Be lin - The 7th of January 2011
We left Tsur Hudassa after a nice time at Bosmate'house.
We took onions because it's seems the best things to feel better with tire gaze.
What a beautiful day.
Sun is shinning.
A check point made us walking up the hill to reach the meeting point to start the demonstration without problem. It's seems that we go for a trip in the nature.
Lots of people and life.
We start to walk without drumming.
We finally reached a field in front of the wall.
The ground remained conscience the time that had passed since the beginning of this weekly demonstration.
More and more old tire grenade on the floor.
Nothing had change.
In front of the wall Asaf started to say :
"- oh No... !"
- What ? What's happening ?
- Skunk, let's run !"
I understood later that this machine is pushing you away by spreading shit on your face massively.
Then came tire gaze.
We still decided to take some picture of the creature.

Demonstration in Lod - 4th of January 2011
I went with Dani, Joahna and Imbar to this Arab neighbourhood in Lod to drum with the Samba group of Tel Aviv. We demonstrate related to the houses demolition that happened there recently.
This man told this sad story that happened in a rainy morning when army came and chase his family out of their house and started to demolished it.
Cruel and unfair performance.

Demonstration Tel Aviv - 1st January 2011
This demonstration was to react from the death of Jawaar Abourahma after inhaling too much tir gaze in the weekly demonstration in Be lin.
This woman was 37 years old.
In this demonstration 2 years ago, one of her brother died by the impact of a gaze grenade onto his chest. and she saw one of her other brother got shot down in his leg while he was suffering from tire gaze.
It was my first demonstration and meeting with the Tel Aviv Samba group.
